Helping your story shine — one word at a time.

About Me

I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember. Some of my favorite childhood memories involve Saturday trips to the public library with my mom and siblings, each of us leaving with towering stacks of books. I graduated from the children’s section straight into the adult shelves—mostly mysteries at first—before eventually discovering romance through Harlequin Intrigues, a genre blend of suspense and heart that still feels tailor-made for me.

Writing followed close behind reading. English was always my favorite subject, and while my earliest publications were elementary school poetry magazines, storytelling quickly became a constant. In 2008, my love of the Stephanie Plum series (and my ride-or-die loyalty to Stephanie and Ranger) led me to the world of fan fiction. I started as a reader, then became a writer, and before long, I was beta reading for other authors who appreciated my sharp eye for grammar and clarity. Without realizing it, I was training for the career I’d eventually build.

In 2012, confident in my skills and ready for a new challenge after years of working for an e-commerce company, I reached out to a small online publishing company. Despite having no formal credentials—only a few years of hands-on experience—I passed their editing test and landed my first paid role as a professional editor. From there, I went on to work with several other publishers, including Loose Id, Waterhouse Press, and Gemma Halliday Publishing, building lasting relationships and a deep understanding of the editorial process. Today, I continue to work with Gemma Halliday Publishing and Page & Vine (Meredith Wild’s romance imprint).

Over the past thirteen years, I’ve also had the privilege of editing and proofreading for more than fifty independent and traditionally published authors through word of mouth. I’m especially passionate about supporting self-published authors and helping great stories reach readers. I know what it takes to write and publish your own books as I wrote and self-published one book of my own and co-wrote and self-published several books with a friend. It’s not an easy process, and as an editor, it isn’t something I take lightly.

Great books deserve great editing—and I love being part of that journey.

What you can expect when you work with me: a thoughtful, detail-oriented editor who respects your voice, communicates clearly, and treats your story with the same care I’d want for my own. I believe editing should feel collaborative, encouraging, and empowering—not intimidating. My goal is simple: to help you put your best possible book into readers’ hands, confident and proud of every page.
